Artist: Ole Peter Hansen, 1865

This is a painting of Grant at the battle of Vickburg by a Noregian Born Artist who served in the Union Army and was wounded in the Civil War.  He returned to painting after being wounded and painted several fantastic portraits of Union Generals including this one of Grant.
