This is Wall Street NYC with Trinity Church at the end.  This is a block that has been photographed since the invention of photography and is actually quite a small street.  Trinity Church is ofcourse the location of the burial ground of Alexander Hamilton the hero of the battle of Yorktown and a founding father of American capitalism and banking as America's first Tresuerer.

He famously died in a duel with the then Vice President of the United States Aaron Burr in July of 1804.  HIs eulogy was given by Gourvernor Morris who also established a fund to support Alexander Hamilton's wife and kids.  Gourvernor Morris also wrote the phrase "We the People" in the preamble to our Constitution and established one of America's early banks while working in Philadelphia.

New York City also honors the Bronx native Gourvernor Morris by naming a lane right next to Wall Street near the Ferry Terminal as "Gourvernor Lane" which ends at Beaver Street.

After ending Hamilton's life Aaron Burr returned to Manhattan expecting a hero's welcome.  Instead he was hated for killing Alexander Hamilton and was facing murder charges.  Aaron Burr fled to the South and eventually the charges were dropped and he returned to continue his job as Vice President until March of 1805.  After his term he went west to the newly acquired Louisianna territory and started even more trouble.  He was accused of working with Native American Tribes, Spanish, and European governments to form a new government in the west where he would be dictator.  Thomas Jefferson initially ignored these accusations as fiction and gossip until enough actual evidence was presented to him of Aaron Burr's treachery.  Aaron Burr was tried for treason against the United States of America in 1807 in Richmond Virginia.  This trial established the legal principle of "executive privelage" when Thomas Jefferson refused to hand over every document of his presidency and instead only handed over documents that were specifically related to the trial.  Aaron Burr was acquited of treason but his reputation was destroyed and he lived out his days despised by the public.
