National Cheesesteak V Pin Up Girl Magnet
National Cheesesteak V Pin Up Girl Magnet
Celebrate the flavors of Philadelphia with this unique magnet featuring a classic pin-up girl joyfully riding a giant cheesesteak! Dressed in a playful retro outfit with Philly pride, she’s holding on tight as she rides this iconic sandwich, bringing a touch of vintage charm and humor to your fridge. With a delicious cheesesteak front and center, this magnet perfectly captures the heart and soul of Philadelphia cuisine—made for foodies, Philadelphians, or anyone who loves a tasty bit of Americana.
The cheesesteak has a storied history in Philadelphia, where it originated in the 1930s thanks to hot dog vendors Pat and Harry Olivieri. By adding thinly sliced beef and onions to a roll, they created what would soon become a local sensation. With cheese added later, the sandwich grew into a Philly classic, embodying the city's working-class spirit and love for hearty, delicious food. Over the years, the cheesesteak has gained fans worldwide, but it will always be Philly’s pride and joy, making this magnet a must-have for anyone who loves a good cheesesteak and the vibrant culture it represents.
This is one of these Blackstone Recipes that just happens sometimes, I do believe I am one of the few people or the very first person to have decided to "French Dip" a Philly Cheesesteak and name it after a Founding Father who also served as an Ambassador to France and wrote the phrase "We the People" in our constitution. The French Dip ofcourse is a different kind of steak sandwich, originated in Los Angeles around the same time as the philly cheese was gaining popularity in the city of brotherly love. I guess the only wa this could get more Philadelphia is if I added a few slices of scrapple in with the beef, but I am pretty sure only psychos would do something insane like that, nobody wants the taste of liver and oats mixed in with beef and cheese. Those two Philly things are best kept seperated. Below is a little mini webpage I made about my visit to Philadelphia. It's a city that is easy to hate, and in its depression and oddity, it also is a city that can be easy to love.
