Huxley came from a prominent English family. He graduated from Oxford in English Literature. He wrote over fifty books including novels, essays, screenplays,and poems. He gained a reputation as a writer and philosopher and is best remembered for his novel Brave New World. This book is bound in blue cloth boards embossed gold title, author and publisher on spine head; Library copy Sanf Rafael High School stamp on front free endpaper and head fore edge; tape markings on free endpapers from dustjacket and front and rear boards; library envelop on rear free endpaper; NF dj protected with mylar. English writer and philosopher Aldous Huxley was born in Surrey, England on July 26, 1894 and died in Los Angeles, CA on November 22, 1963, the same day President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.
