Sonoma, California appears on the third front free endpaper and again on the rear free endpaper.; Made into a (1926) Hollywood silent movie with Gary Cooper's acting debut. Directed by Henry King starring Ronald Coleman as Willard Holmes, Vilma Banky as Barbara Worth, and Gary Cooper as Abe Lee. Harold Bell Wright was the first American author to sell a million copies of a fiction novel and also the first to make a million dollars selling his fiction.; Harold Bell Wright b.
